Advanced Technology Fabric - This brand name is used for a range of different fabrics that share the same characteristics: they are all waterproof, windproof, breathable and thermo-regulating.
Waterproofing - Resistance to water is expressed in millimetres, which represent the height of the column of water which the fabric is able to withstand during laboratory tests before allowing liquid to penetrate.
Breathability - Two environments are artificially created with different hygrometric conditions and vapour is forced through the fabric, after which vapour penetration is measured, with the result expressed in grams of water vapour per sq meters of fabric in 24 hours.
Thermo-taped Seams - The heat application of a special backing tape on fabrics offers total protection against water penetration along seams. Thermo-taped seams are standard on all our oilskins, as well as on many other garments.
PU-Tricot Fastenings - Featured on the cuffs of many jackets, together with the velcro straps these fasteners provide a double fastening system to prevent wind and water penetration.
