Phuket King’s Cup Regatta - A positive debut for Full Metal Jacket – member of the SLAM Sailing Team – the boat introduced a couple of months ago on its first test day in Auckland which had participation in the most famous regatta in Asia on its schedule: the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta. A satisfying 5th place overall was achieved, a great result considering the very few hours of sailing managed beforehand by the John Corby designed IRC 43.
For the 2008 season the Team is wearing the following items from SLAM’s “Advanced” Collection: Grig and Bistrow T-shirts, new Hissar Bermuda shorts, Tactician Caps, Summer Sailing Jacket and Summer Sailing Vest, RC Spray Top and RC Long John, New Mistral shoes, Filmore shirt and Hatchet Bag from the sportswear collection.
The next event on their calendar is the Royal Langkawi International Regatta, in Malaysia, during the first week of January.
